I’m really excited about the coming few months, because some fantastic movies are slated to be released. Here are 10 that are being eagerly awaited by many movie lovers:
1. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Set in Middle Earth, around 60 years before the events in the Lord of The Rings, this movie traces the Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins’ journey to Lonely Mountain with a group of energetic dwarves. Their mission: To re-claim their stolen treasure from the dragon Smaug. Peter Jackson who directed the Rings Trilogy is handling this story, also to be released in three parts. Much of the earlier crew also returns; the thrilling adventures portrayed so wonderfully in the Rings movies are reasons enough for movie goers to count the days to its release.

2. Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2(2012)
The Cullens assemble the other Vampire clans to protect the newly born Renesmee from an accusation that has brought the family in the Volturi’s presence.
3. The Hobbit: There and Back Again (2013)
This is the sequel to the first one, and the journey’s progress is portrayed. Whether Gandalf will be found by Baggins and the intrepid band of Dwarves remains to be seen.
4. The Wolverine (2013)
He’s always been my favourite of the X-Men. This will be the sixth movie in the X-Men series and will retain Hugh Jackman in the lead role. The movie is set in Japan, and will focus on Wolverine’s search for his past and origins. Filming commenced about a month ago and is expected to be completed by fall this year
5. A Good Day to Die Hard(2013)
Bruce Willis as the indomitable John McLane returns in this latest Die Hard movie, with his son, as they battle local forces in Russia. Supposedly his son gets kidnapped in the process. Can’t wait to see the famous white vest in action again!
6. Untitled Star Trek Sequel (2013)
Captain James Kirk and his daring crew will return to fight intergalactic evil doers in this much awaited sequel to the 2009 Star Trek movie. Chris Pine will continue as the Captain Kirk.
7. R.I.P.D (2013)
A police officer who gets killed joins a team of undead cops in the ‘Rest In Peace’ Department. The movie follows the cop who seeks out his killer. IT stars Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds.
8. Skyfall (2012)
The 23rd Bond movie starring the suave and steely Daniel Craig as the British Secret Agent with a license to kill is slated for a Fall 2012 release. Bond’s Loyalty to M will be tested. While I’m waiting for the movies, I’m going to have a few Martinis; shaken, not stirred.
9. The Great Gatsby (2013)
This offering from Baz Luhrmann is based on the book by the same name. IT chronicles the mysterious life of Jay Gatsby (Leo DiCaprio). His neighbor Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) is drawn into his world and witnesses tragedy unfolding.
10. The Bourne Legacy(2012)
The story picks up where it left Jason Bourne after he jumps into the water to avoid getting shot. After Blackbriar was exposed and stopped, all black ops are going to be killed; that includes field agents. One of them escapes, and is on a mission to expose his bosses. I’m disappointed that Matt Damon/Bourne himself will not be seen here (except in photos)
